This afternoon I has a very whiny baby clingy to me when it was time to make him dinner, so this was a bit of a random food assortment that in the end he quite enjoyed!

You’ll need:
1 small sweet potato (skin left on, diced)
1 piece of silver beet, cut into small pieces
1 small handful of canned chickpeas
1 sausage (preferably organic, grass fed beef or lamb sausages. Mine at the very least LOOKED a bit artesian, but I cannot vouch for their ‘goodness’!)

Recipe:
Cook your sausage separately (I did this in the sandwich press so it was quick). Once it’s cooked cool it in the fridge or freezer so you don’t burn your baby’s mouth!

While that’s cooking microwave or boil your sweet potato and silverbeet.

Once the sweet potato & silverbeet are cooked, drain and add the chickpeas. Mash up a bit and cool.

Chop up the sausages into a size your baby can manage and mix it all together. This is quite a chunky mix. If you prefer to have it puréed, then do so now!

Serve to baby. :-)
